JAKARTA - TNI prepared a plane C-130 Hercules to bring humanitarian aid from the government of Indonesia to Palestine.
The Indonesian government strongly condemned the Israeli raid into Gaza. President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono says he wrote a letter to UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon and President of the UN Security Council to immediately Neven Jurica convened and issued a UN resolution to stop Israeli attacks into Gaza.
Israel and the Palestinians are suggested re-negotiate to achieve peace.
In a letter to UN Secretary General, President Yudhoyono also called on the world to immediately help the Palestinians who now difficulties.
The Indonesian government will also provide cash assistance worth 1 million U.S. dollars. Help is on the outside help of medication that will be sent to the conflict in the Palestinian territories.
"We will continue to monitor developments in Gaza. Indonesia will make every effort, regional and multilateral, for the restoration of the situation there," said the President, Wednesday (31/12) yesterday.
Israel-Hamas conflict in Gaza increasingly intense that 318 Palestinians were killed (57 civilians, including children and women) and at least 1,400 people were injured.
Secretary-General of the United Nations Ban Ki-moon asked Israel to immediately halt attacks on Gaza Strip and opened the door for humanitarian aid crossings.
UN High Commissioner for Human Rights Navi Pillay also asked Israel comply with international law, especially in the use of military force and attacks on civilians.
